First Visit Nerves? Here’s Exactly What Happens.

Before you arrive
Fill out your health history online (link goes out with your confirmation text) so check-in is basically just a smile and a sip of water. Bring your insurance card and any recent X-rays — we’ll happily use them so you’re not X-rayed twice.
The first fifteen minutes
Your hygienist will ask what’s been bothering you, if anything, and what you’d love to change about your smile. This is the “getting to know you” part — nothing pointy happens yet.
The exam itself
Low-radiation digital X-rays, an oral cancer screening, and a full look at every tooth and every gum line. Your dentist joins in, points at the screen, and walks you through what they’re seeing in plain language. Questions are encouraged, honest ones especially.
Your plan
Before you leave you’ll have a clear treatment plan sorted by urgency, an insurance estimate, and payment options if anything’s out of pocket. No pressure, no upsells — you decide what to book and when.
Total time
About an hour. If you’re anxious, tell us — we can add breaks, headphones, or a weighted blanket. It’s more common than you think.
